My name is Anu (uh-noo). I am an India-born, midwest-raised designer and creative thinker. I live for creating impactful design experiences with passionate people. Innately curious, I am always looking for inventive ways design can create meaningful connections between people and great ideas. Thinking. Experimenting. Making.
I believe in the power of collaboration and community involvement, and I have been fortunate to make design magic with some very talented people! Over the years, I led powerful community events as a board member of AIGA Wisconsin, worked with a multidisciplinary team in the social sector in India, and collaborated with a group of young do-good designers from across the country at Firebelly Design in Chicago. My greatest achievements have blossomed from taking creative risks, embracing empathy in the process. At the end of the day, I love creating beautiful and thoughtful design.
When I'm not designing I am probably talking up a storm, trying out new veggie recipes, practicing my lettering skills on homemade cakes, exploring new parts of the city via bike or planning the next big something with AIGA.
I am always ready for a fresh creative challenge. And, I love making new friends! Want to collaborate or just say hi? Drop me a note.
Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so. -Noam Chomsky
